My name is Marcelo Subtil Marçal and I was born at Curitiba, a big city in southern Brazil.
Since very earlier I was interested about technology and computers. My first computer was a TK90X (a Brazilian ZX Spectrum clone) which I took 12 months to pay.
Unfortunately I had to sell my TK90X just after I paid it. Then I have lost touch with computers for more than 8 years.
I've gotten access to computers again in 1989 (a PC XT) at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná where later I got Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry.
I only got my own computer again at 1993. It was a Intel 80386 based computer with a 12 Megabytes Hard Drive. A year later I've met Linux, and thanks to Penguin's Operating System and the Free Software I left Chemistry. I've never washed a single Beaker again.
In those years I was away from computers, I've spent my time practicing Karate, Scuba Diving, learning English, and doing other things I prefer not describe here :) just kidding
Now I'm still working with technology and computers. I work as Technical Pre Sales and Technical Team Management. I spend my free time practicing Aikido, Iaijutsu, Kenjutsu, and studying Nihongo (Japanese language).
